2013 Emmy Nominations

Netflix is making history. For the first time two series (House of Cards and Arrested Development) distributed via Internet were nominated for the television industry's most important award. The online streaming service is now officially in competition against the cable and broadcast channels, even getting one nomination in the best drama category for House of Cards (the best show of the year in my very personal opinion).

In the outstanding drama category, Netflix's House of Cards will be competing against last year winner Homeland on Showtime, Three times winner Mad Men and Breaking Bad on AMC, HBO's Game of Thrones and PBS's Downtown Abby.
