More than 100 leading musicians including Madonna, Adele, Radiohead, U2, Paul McCarney, Elton John and Sting joined a worldwide call for the release of Maria Alyokhina and Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, members of the Russian feminist punk group Pussy Riot. They were jailed on February 2012 for an anti-government protest performance.
Tomorrow, July 24, two women's lawyers are set to launch an appeal to Russia's Supreme Court to reverse their conviction for hooliganism.
